Two more people have been arrested in connection with a robbery at London's Heathrow Airport where over twenty individuals sustained injuries by what is thought to be an irritant spray, according to police.
A man, 24, was taken into custody in the Lambeth area on suspicion of theft and assault and a woman, 23 was detained for suspected conspiracy to commit robbery. They both are still being held, the force said.
The arrests come after a probe into an attack at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Before the attack, two women were robbed of their luggage after getting out of a car park lift.
A three-year-old girl was one of the those hurt during the incident. A total of five individuals were taken to the hospital for medical care and have since been discharged.
Officers arrested a 31-year-old man for suspected theft and assault near the scene. He was subsequently released pending further inquiries as the investigation proceeds.
Police were alerted at approximately 8:10 in the morning GMT after reports came in regarding several people injured by an irritating chemical believed to be an irritant spray.
The assault - an event that authorities stated was isolated and not being treated as terrorism - caused train delays and the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park briefly.
